Be anxious for nothing, but be prepared for everything

Today I met with some business partners and we are getting into the developing business. There is a lot of potential in our area and we want to get a head of things now, before the big developers start in our area.

As we were debriefing, I thought it was interesting that it is a lot of work  before closing the deal. You have to have inspectors, appraisals, plumbers, acquisition budgets, long-term financial statements just to name a few things. Today we met to look at the roof and gather previous utility bills to get an idea of operational cost and possible development cost.

I sat there and thought to myself, if we as women took our time and researched or examine the men that pursue us, we can save ourselves heartaches. There are phases that we should be going through. There are standards and maybe even things that may disqualify a person from going to the next stage with us.

Do you know what you want? Do you know what your non negotiable's are? Do you know the questions to ask to see if he is a good fit? Do you have a people you trust to see things you may not see?

When it comes to investing in wealth we are taking risk. So we do our due diligence to minimize risk so we can control the outcome as much as possible.

We should do the same in our life. In relationships! We are taking a risk on the person we choose to love. It is not for certain that person is going to love you, respect you and be with you forever. We should instead, do our best to minimize our risk.

Instead, we just jump right in based on vibes or looks. It is easy to connect and vibe with someone when you are intelligent. It doesn't necessarily mean you can last a lifetime.

Our lack of patience and due diligence allows us to commit to things and people that may not be a good look. So don't be in a hurry for love or wealth but be prepared for the opportunity.

I love finances but I love growth much more. I'm sure my purpose in life is to help other black woman see their worth, gain clarity, and most importantly build wealth. I'm proud to share this new journey with many.
