3 Rich lies we should Stop Telling

While growing and while being an adult, I have heard a few things said about money. It wasn't until I decided to chase my own financial freedom I started to hear these things from a different perspective. You know, as we grow older people or our family impose their views of money rather we ask them or not. Sometimes, some people don't realize they are given and opinion that was not ask for and your brain is forced to comprehend their point rather it has the knowledge or experience to form its own opinion or not.  And since this happens to us at a very young age we grow up with the sense that money is bad. That's why people from poor families have a hard time escaping poverty. Its not because they don't want to but it is because we lack the mindset in order to. Leaving us to work a lot harder and some of us make it and well, some of us don't. The moment we think differently about money will be the moment we ourselves will have it no matter how poor we started.

Here are 3 things we tell ourselves about money.

1.) Money is the root of all evil

I use to hear this all the time. Which is why it is important to know the origin of where things come from and also research things yourself. Most things about money is biblical rather you believe in the bible or not.The correct phrase is "the love of money is the root of all evil". You don't want to love money more than you love yourself, people, or God, if you are a believer. What if we switch the phrase with the lack of money is the root of all evil. That's how the rich see it. Then how would you look at things.

2.) Rich people are greedy

You know we love to say the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Although the statement is true, I don't know if people just say it to justify why they aren't living the life they'll like to live or if they truly believe it is true. Personally, it is not because the rich is greedy. The more money you make the more money you can invest, It simply increases your chances of getting richer. Just because I decide to become richer doesn't give the person that is becoming poorer the right to tell me to do with my money. If the rich let the poor control their spending, they may end up like them; poor. Why do we get to say the rich is greedy. What if we said the poor is lazy. That doesn't sound fair huh? We wouldn't say that not only is it not true but it isn't very nice.

3.) Money won't make you happy

I heard this more times than I can count. It sounds more of an excuse you give yourself to not have to work at being wealthy. Its like you are giving yourself permission to be broke. I know we can put together a list of miserable rich people. But is that suppose to dictate everyone life that want to create wealth. Money is the answer to all things. That is biblical. It allows you to eat healthier because organic food is not cheap. It allows you to pay for the best health care treatment if you are sick. It allows you to give your kids the best education so they can also have the right mindset to continue the families legacy. It allows you to give back to the neighborhoods you grew up in that weren't livable. Money gives you the free time to relax, live stress free, travel, and have a healthy life and relationship with your family and all those things will make you much happier in life.

So those are the three things we tend to tell ourselves about money and the rich. Rather you say these things or you hear them around, lets challenge our mindsets and those around us to think differently. Lets stop complaining about the rich and lets start learning from them

I love finances but I love growth much more. My purpose in life is to help other woman see their worth, gain clarity, and most importantly build wealth. I'm proud to share this new journey with many.
