I am going to share 5 ways to grow your business. I want to jump right into it because I do not want this to be longer than it needs to be.
Don’t quit your day job
Don’t believe the hype. Quitting your 9 to 5 without a plan is an impulse decision. There is a lot of benefits when working as an employee. You have consistent money to pay your bills and invest in your business to grow. You are learning skills you will need to have when managing your own business. You can learn what not to do to your employees or customers. Don’t underestimate the power of patience and timing. Listen to your gut, not the internet. The internet will have you making moves prematurely. Be patient and wise.
Don’t touch your earnings for at least 6 months
The best way to grow your business is to retain your profits for at least 6 months to a year if possible. You want your business to not only run itself but you also want to invest in your business to help it grow month to month. Many people spend the money they make on their personal needs. If you are starting a business or growing a business, plan to not touch any earnings for at least 6 months.
Invest in yourself
Everyone wants to look for investors for their idea and nothing is wrong with that. However, investors want to see what have you invested yourself. Your customers and clients indirectly will want to see that you invest in yourself. If you can’t bet on yourself then why will anyone buy into your brand. Set the standard to always invest in yourself first.
Network like crazy
I know we want that laptop lifestyle and sit on a beach while working from a computer. That is idea. That’s my type of business too. But what people don’t disclosed is although they are on vacation making money looking at the ocean, they also had to do a lot of work to get to that status. You have to network to build a community of people that support and will recommend you. You will grow much faster being personable. I know the desire to just want to stay at home and not speak to anyone. That was my life. However the moment I decided to get out of my comfort zone was the moment I notice a new level.
People don’t like fake and can sniff out if someone is not being authentic. Don’t always be all about the money. You have to have a true heart for people. When you care about the needs of people and show them the solution you provide, people will always come back to you. It is the people who fake and may trick people, but guess what those people will never recommend them or become a repeat customer. Those type of business owners are looking for the fast cash. We should always think long term. You are building an everlasting relation, rather it is with a customer, client or business partner. People don’t do business with people they don’t like.
